Today for TopTweetTuesday and Matthew M C Smith I’m offering thoughts on the futility of war and man’s inhumanity towards his fellow men. It’s a Nonet , 9 syllables decreasing by one each line. I don’t really write polemics so this is my best effort!

My clematis is in full bloom, so pretty round the cottage door. I love this time of year!

Just back from a wonderful week on Iona, my heart-home, on Creative Writing Retreat, where I’ve been assistant tutor, teaching the afternoon technical writing classes. Great group of writers and so rewarding to see non-poets produce their first haiku, cinquain, trinet, nonet etc!
