We were delighted to win first prize in the Rush St. Patrick's day parade. Our theme was all things play both in and on our Blue Flag beach.

Thanks to Aine from Clean Coasts for guiding us through a Marran Grass planting session on the South Beach Dunes yesterday. This is proven to help protect the dunes from corrosion. We plan to do this twice a year from next Spring. And thanks to those volunteers who turned up.

Thanks to all the Rush Tidy Towns and Clean Coasts volunteers who braved the wet weather for Deric Ó h'Artagáins live report from the sand dunes of our Blue flag South Beach in Rush this morning. We replanted some Marram grass as a pilot project with Aine from Clean Coasts.

Due to popular demand we have another Bat talk/walk organised for the 16th of May. Kevin Delahunty, of Dublin Bat Group will lead us through St Catherine's Woods and hopefully we will be lucky and spot and hear some bats. Please see flyer for details.

A huge thank you to the volunteers and committee members who turned up this morning to spruce up the Harbour Square in Rush. It was a big job but we are happy with the results.

Huge congratulations to long serving Rush Tidy Towns committee member Mary Buckley who won a Mayor's award at a ceremony last night. The theme of the awards was unsung heroes in the community. Mary has worked tirelessly behind the scenes in Rush Tidy Towns for many many years.
