Our new main entrance, office and staff area is coming along well.

Year 5 and Year 6 are moving back to the main part of the building, the builders have already started converting the 2 classrooms into 4!

Take a look at Oakwood Education Development Centre’s transformation 👏 Cllr Mike Bird, the Mayor of Walsall and Cllr Mark Statham recently visited Oakwood, to look at the school’s expansion project, and see the council’s investment into special school places in the borough.

The kitchen refurbishment and expansion has started.

Work is progressing well with the spaces. Gym will not be ready until October, but we are on track for the other spaces.

It was great to have a visit from Hannah from Teach Like a Champion and Mark Goodwin Equal Parts Education our UK expert today to see the how far we have come in a year of the PEIA project in Walsall and Sandwell. We are excited to be continuing the implementation even when the project officially ends.

We officially joined the Mercian Trust on 1st June. We were welcomed to the family today with chocolate and a framed picture.
