Good morning! Most of the region will have one more day of the extreme heat today. A cold front will bring some storms to the area by this afternoon with some of these potentially being severe. But the good news is this will finally bring relief! #PAWX #NJWX #MDWX #DEWX

The numbers are in and unsurprisingly, July was quite dry, especially across eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey. #PAwx #NJwx #MDwx #DEwx

You don't even need to look at the radar to know a storm just came through the Rutgers University - New Brunswick Campus. Just take a look at our temperature data over at Rutgers Gardens!⛈️ synoptic.envsci.rutgers.edu/site/

Guess I’m going to make it a yearly tradition to take a picture of the same tree on October 20th. Why not?! 2020 vs. 2021 vs. 2022 This year isn’t green like last year, but not as vibrant as 2 years ago.

The remnants of TC Nicole will impact the region from later today through early Sat morning. Periods of rain, possibly heavy at times, will develop today and persist overnight. A few storms may produce locally damaging winds or a brief, weak tornado. 🌧️🌬️ #PAwx #NJwx #DEwx #MDwx

⚠️A plume of Canadian wildfire smoke is forecast to drift over the area Tuesday and could lead to decreased air quality. Here's one model's depiction of the smoke, where orange colors correlate to concentrations of 25μg/m3 or greater. #NYwx #CTwx #NJwx

❄️ Our region has experienced a few more snow events since our last update last month, but most areas are still running on a deficit from season to date normals. No real snow potential in the near future, but we still have a few more weeks to add to the totals before spring!
