First full day of jury deliberations in Karen Reads second murder trial ends with no verdict. We’ll be back tomorrow

In Dedham this morning with Shiina LoSciuto & Ryan Welch for day 4 of deliberations in the #KarenReadRetrial. The jury received an amended verdict slip yesterday. Many anticipating a decision today. WPRI 12

The crowd reaction as the verdict in the Karen Read case is read. NOT GUILTY on all charges, but a lesser OUI charge was placed. WPRI 12

Lights, Camera, Newport...again! M. Night Shyamalan was spotted in Rhode Island today, as his new movie "Remain" is being filmed here in the Ocean State. Today film crews were outside of the courthouse in Newport, a popular filming location when Hocus Pocus 2 was in town as well!

The heat waves gone

A motorbike is stuck in the front wheel well of a car in North Kingston this afternoon after a crash at the corner of Post Rd and Peachtree Rd. No word yet on the extent of injuries. The front windshield of the car is shattered and shoes and a backpack are on the ground. WPRI 12

A crash between a Warwick police cruiser and another car has part of Main Ave shut down currently, between Sharon St and Trinity St. No word yet on any injuries. WPRI 12

Cranston police investigating a shooting in Garden City earlier today. This occurred in the parking lot outside of LA Fitness. Police say it was a very targeted attack, and none of the (at least) 5 rounds shot hit anybody.
