My husband @emirdemirtas will host a Turkish-inspired pop-up at Rachel’s Bagels on Wednesday, with all proceeds going to the earthquake relief effort. 60 other restaurants will join them in donating funds! And they were featured at the The Seattle Times 🧡 seattletimes.com/life/food-drin…

As the academic year comes to a close, so too must my dog, Mooshie's reign as the department mascot end. Please enjoy his professional headshot and bio one last time.

White Americans LOVE telling themselves that they succeed only on their merits. But the real affirmative action is and always has been white privilege, legacy admissions, and ability to pay. The SC ruling today is a terrible blow to equity in higher education.

I will teach a class called "Women" covering topics ranging from the child penalty to the underrepresentation of women in politics. I have lots of papers I particularly like, but I am missing a ton. I would love suggestions (over here or via DM), including self-promotion.
