Rye Oak was lucky enough to be visited today by 'King's Clarinets' for an incredible live performance. The children called it 'awesome' and 'cool'!

We have eco warriors in year 4! The children held a protest to protect the rainforest and spread awareness.

Thank you to Born Free Foundation for the amazing workshop. The workshop facilitator said of our year 4 children "Best behaved class and most engaged and knowledgeable class they have been too!"

Thank you to British Museum! Year 4 visited today and were told that we were the politest school in the museum!

The World Book Day book character potato finalists have been chosen. The winners will be announced soon!

Mary Phillip, the first black woman to officially captain the England women's team who happens to be a parent at our school, led our assembly today. Everyone was inspired by meeting her to strive for our goals! #LetGirlsPlay

Year 5 have been learning the rules of the road this week during their Bikeability sessions.

We hope to see all parents and carers next week for our open classroom event on Tuesday 21st March.

We hope everyone enjoyed a lovely long weekend. To mark this historical event, year 3 and 4 held a 'street' party together enjoying treats and squash, whilst completing portraits of King Charles.

From Thursday 18th May to Wednesday 24th May we will be holding a school book fair. Each item you buy at the book fair goes towards free books for the school. Come and visit us each day between 3.30 and 4.00pm. All payments can be made online.

The year 6 residential is going well. The children are challenging themselves to try new and exciting things that they have never done before!

The year 6 children have returned from another successful residential. Behaviour was incredible and all children tried something they had never done before! Well done everyone!

Year 3 have been learning about our class namesake, volcanologist Katia Krafft. We made our own 'heat proof' helmets before visiting our own 'lava flow'!
