研究室修士学生の渡邉さんKaito Watanabe との共同研究をポストしました。量子熱力学における仕事の取り出しにおいて、これまで知られていた最適なプロトコルは状態の情報に依存したものでしたが、この論文では全ての状態から最適な仕事を取り出せる"universal work extractor"を提案しました。

Posted a preprint with Kaito Watanabe on quantum thermo. We showed that the optimal work can be extracted by a thermal operation independent of input state, as long as the unknown input state is given in the iid form.

PRL version now out! journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/1… A major update from the first arXiv version: we show that numerous state transformations are impossible under any finite-cost Gibbs-preserving operation, yet become achievable once the cost is allowed to diverge.
