Did you know elephants can communicate through ground vibrations, felt through their sensitive feet? A silent language in tune with the earth. No rush, no noise. Just connection. 📹Lisa Sarrazin #AddoElephantNationalPark #LiveYourWild SANParks

When Addo Elephant National Park was proclaimed in 1931, only 11 elephants remained due to overhunting. What many don’t know is that the park also protects a rare flightless dung beetle – Circellium bacchus – which relies entirely on elephant dung for survival.

Today, Addo is the only park in the world that conserves the Big 7 – elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, whale, and great white shark – thanks to its expansion to the Indian Ocean.

#AddoElephantNationalPark's📹Joshua Rogers was out in the Kabouga section when he was fortunate enough to see some of the recently translocated elephants! Better yet, he even managed to get in some footage of the littlest of the lot, aptly named Kabouga! #LiveYourWild SANParks
