Science Speaks is one of the most anticipated events in our school calendar. It's a celebration of science, confidence, & communication. Students prepare & deliver talks on scientific topics that inspire them. The competition develops scientific literacy & public speaking skills

Hola! ¿Hablas español? In Spanish, we had a game where the 'inspector' had to guess who the 'fugitive' was, but they could only ask and answer questions in Spanish. This was followed by a game of lucky squares. We had a listening game - Does the word have a 'n' or a 'ñ' sound?

Our Duke of Edinburgh team set out on a practice expedition walk on Saturday. They enjoyed the glorious sunshine while practicing their map reading skills along the river and fields of the surrounding areas.

The Student Leadership Team joined the Senior Leadership Team today to deliver a highly professional presentation about how we can work together to make SBL an even better school. Well done Year 10!

Year 10 visited The Quantocks to study how rivers change with distance downstream. Students performed several fieldwork techniques to show how the river changes along its course by measuring the width and velocity of the water & investigating how sediment in the river changes.

Year 11 are showing great determination and dedication with their extra Maths revision sessions in preparation for their upcoming exams.

Year 9 Music tech. Some of our year 9's were using computers to add drum beats to music. By the end of term, they are hoping to add the beats to the tune of Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter which they have learnt to play on the keyboard.

Some year 7&8's were fortunate enough to see War Horse, at The Bristol Hippodrome yesterday. At the outbreak of WW1, young Albert’s horse, is sold to the Cavalry and shipped to France. He’s soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary journey.
