Bright #fireball over the UK at 23:39 UT last night! 💫 We got an amazing view from our camera British Geological Survey in Hartland. Fingers-crossed some #meteorites made it to the ground 🤞

Last nights #fireball was recorded on our camera British Geological Survey Hartland, plus Ludiver & Querqueville in France. Looks like we were visited by a #SpaceRock from the asteroid belt! It was widely seen across the UK, but unfortunately no #meteorites this time. UK Fireball Alliance

Eyes to the skies! If you can’t watch for meteorites all day this #MeteorWatchDay, Fear Not! The camera on the CardiffMuseum roof is part of a global network watching the sky for fireballs with the aim of recovering freshly fallen meteorites for scientific study SCAMP - a component of the FRIPON network

We have a new #fireball camera RHUL Earth Sciences! Working together with UK Fireball Alliance, it will help us to track #meteors & #fireballs & find the next UK #meteorite fall #SpaceRocks

Also seen through the clouds in Manchester :) Earth Sciences at the University of Manchester #SpaceRocks
