🚧 UPDATE: I-20 Bridge Aiken County 🚧 The bridge is a total loss after today’s tanker crash & fire. Demolition is underway & crews will work overnight to clear the site. Repaving & guardrail work will follow to reopen I-20 as soon as possible. Stay tuned for more updates.

The US 76 bridge over the Chauga River in Oconee County is officially OPEN! This key connection was rebuilt in under 9 months after being damaged from Hurricane Helene in 2024. Thank you to our partners & the Oconee community for your support and patience.
