Scottsboro’s Quincie Franklin (6-2) wins the the Class 5A Boys High Jump at the AHSAA Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores. Teammate Devon Walker was the state runner-up.

Scottsboro’s Mia Martin, Ally Campbell, Smith Bradford and Banks Bradford win the Class 5A Girls 4x800-meter relay state championship (9:56.32) at the AHSAA Track and Field Championships.

Scottsboro’s Caroline Sanders wins the Class 5A Girls triple jump state championship (38-6.50). It’s her second state title of the 2024 AHSAA Track and Field Championships. She won the high jump on Thursday.

Scottsboro leads the Class 5A girls and boys team standings after Day 2 of the state track and field meet. Scottsboro (61) leads Beauregard (46.5) in the girls standings. Scottsboro (95) has a 54-point lead over second-place John Carroll Catholic in the boys standings.

Scottsboro’s Caroline Sanders wins Class 5A girls state championships in the 200-meter dash (24.79 seconds) and the long jump (state record 20 feet, 1 inch) at the AHSAA Track and Field Championships. The UAH signee won four state titles (high jump, triple jump) during the meet.

Scottsboro’s Craft Sanders wins the Class 5A Boys state pole vault championship with a height of 14 feet at the AHSAA Track and Field Championships.

Scottsboro’s Stephen Jones wins the Class 5A Boys 800-meter run (1:56.37) state championship at the AHSAA Track and Field Championships.

Scottsboro sweeps the Class 5A Girls and Boys track and field state championships. The SHS boys complete the triple crown this school year, having previously won cross country and indoor track and field state titles. SHS girls won indoor and outdoor state titles this school year.
