Had a great time connecting with new and old friends and learning from all of the speakers at Department of Housing and Urban Development @FHEO_HQ ‘s FHIP/FHAP Conference in Denver. I am so proud of the incredible staff at Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center for joining together in collective advocacy to fight for a workplace that aligns with our organization’s values! I fully support LaFHAC Union and urge our leadership to voluntarily recognize it by Feb. 20.
We see our work at Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center as an extension of Dr. King’s legacy. Dr. King was outspoken in support of unions and the value that they provide in furthering civil rights goals.
After 3yrs working w/ an A++ team of advocates, this Friday is my last day at Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center. I will miss this squad, but I’m so proud of all we’ve done to combat housing discrimination & improve access to safe, accessible & affordable housing for all. More to come on my new gig!
Disappointed to see the same tactics being used nearly 10 years after we first called for Northwestern divestment, but so incredibly proud of my fellow wildcats for still standing up for what’s right in the face of nonsense like this.
