Support. Don’t Punish | 26 June 2025 Today, Alliance India, supported the Indian Drug Users Forum, in hosting a meeting with drug user communities, policymakers, and stakeholders to highlight the urgent need for health-focused, rights-based drug policies.

On #WorldDrugDay, I urge a #humanrights and public health approach to #HIV: decriminalization of drugs for personal use, expand harm reduction services, and support communities of people who use drugs to lead. This is how we can end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.

This #WorldDrugDay, we call to expand access to lifesaving and gender-sensitive harm reduction & protect human rights. People who inject drugs are 5x more likely to be living with HIV, yet under 2% live in countries where Needle/Syringe Programs & Opioid treatment are available.
