Ndamononghenda Mateus has embarked on her first PhD fieldtrip off the Namibian coast in collaboration with Ministry of Fisheries & Marine Resources, Namibia. She is exploring the species living in the seafloor sediment & seafloor-water column interactions to provide a baseline against which mining impacts can be measured
