Our review on phase transitions in tissues, by Lenne Lab IBDM & Trivedi Lab EMBL Biomedicina BCN, is now out in Nature Communications! We discuss the similarities & limitations of analogy of phase transition between biological and inert systems.rdcu.be/cGhPK
Jose‘s paper just came out! Congratulations to Sina, Sandeep and him .. great team work!! Hyman Lab Frank Jülicher MPI-CBG Dresden Physics of Life Dresden mpi-cbg.de/press/press-re…
Did you miss our 'Live from Lab' sessions today? Not to worry! You can find them on our FB page! Take a peek at various equipments and experiments that take place at Shaon Chakrabarti (fb.watch/bslClxdMZk/)and Vatsala Thirumalai's labs (fb.watch/bslv1VtKAU/)!
A small glimpse of life in our lab on the occasion of National Science Day! Thanks SONAL KATYAL and the NCBS communications team for organizing this; Anjoom Nikhat and @TaniyaMandal4 for the lucid explanations! fb.watch/bslClxdMZk/
"Model"ling of human development has me in awe! Field is expanding with new models but how should we interpret them and what they offer? Was very challenging (as a fresh postdoc out of oven) but rewarding ride with Berna Sozen and jesse veenvliet @jesseveenvliet.bsky.social Hope you enjoy!
Yesterday, our lab celebrated summer and great achievements from our own Naomi, Nikita and Palina! Of course together with our friends from the jesse veenvliet @jesseveenvliet.bsky.social lab and Campàs Lab :)
Very excited to propose a new idea in the context of epigenetic inheritance - "Diffusion Accessible Domains" or DADs, in the first manuscript from our new lab at National Centre for Biological Sciences and Living Machines-NCBS. A big shoutout to Archit Singh for all the hard work! Thread to follow soon.
Few hours left until the poster session where I will be presenting my recent work from teamstembryo to understand ECM dynamics using mouse and human gastruloids! Stop by poster#5 for entering the realm of #stembryos 😉
Our lab is at #ISDB2021 :) come to our posters if you'd like to learn more about organ and organelle size control in zebrafish! Shivani Gunnan is on #70, Sylvia on #67, Lucas on #370 and myself on #109
Happy that our first paper from National Centre for Biological Sciences Living Machines-NCBS on detecting weak and noisy #circadian oscillations (without using p-values), is now published! We also show how increased cell density can rapidly generate clock gene expression rhythms in mESCs. tinyurl.com/mpra4eev
Stoked to share a new teamstembryo preprint MPI-CBG Dresden Physics of Life Dresden📢. What drives phenotypic variation in embryo models? We discovered an important role for metabolism! tinyurl.com/43e6x7su Highly relevant: tinyurl.com/576pzzy2 Trivedi Lab Miki Ebisuya Let 's eXplain (1/17)
Very happy that our new work from Living Machines-NCBS National Centre for Biological Sciences on histone diffusion, challenging the conventional idea of 100% accurate histone-mark inheritance during replication, is now out in PLOS Comp Biol ! tinyurl.com/5hbnkaj2
Can we combine inhibitors of the #circadian clock and lineage correlations to detect presence of cell cycle gating by the clock? Excited about our new manuscript from National Centre for Biological Sciences, Living Machines-NCBS showing how this might be possible! A short thread (1/6) tinyurl.com/46pub9rh
