A very special guest made an appearance today at the Physical Education coalition in Lansing… Thank You to Governor Gretchen Whitmer! We appreciate you taking the time to help promote Physical Education, physical activity, and health in Michigan!

SHAPE Michigan would like to feature Jeff Stevenson who teaches Physical Education at Pierce Middle School in Waterford. Jeff is a past SHAPE Michigan Middle School Teacher of Year as well as a recipient of additional educational awards and grants.

Joe Matulis of Riley and Eureka Elementary Schools in St. Johns is another SHAPE Michigan's featured educator! Joe teaches grades K-5 & is an exceptional and innovative PE teacher! He spends a lot of time outdoors with his classes and even creates an outdoor ice rink annually!

Another SHAPE Michigan featured educator is Sydney Moore from Holt Public Schools. Sydney teaches 7th and 8th grade Physical Education at Holt Middle School. She is an energetic, passionate, and innovative educator who is an inspiration to students!

Kristin Olmsted of Northwest Ele. in the Northwest Community School district is another SHAPE MI featured PE/ Health educator! She is very dynamic and enthusiastic with her K-5 students. Kristin provides a positive experience with her energy & innovative ideas to her students.
