Congrats to Nanyangwe Siuluta, a Ph.D. student in the dept. of epidemiology, for receiving 3rd place in the pre-doctoral poster competition at Emerging Pathogens Institute Research Day. Her presentation was titled, “Trauma and self-reported cervical cancer screening among women living with HIV.” 👏
Yesterday, Jessica Y. Islam, PhD, MPH visited SHARC. She gave a talk titled, “Supportive Care Inequities Among People Living with HIV and Cancer in the United States.” After, Dr. Islam had a mentoring session with students and engaged in one-on-one meetings with several students and faculty.

In February 2024, Southern HIV & Alcohol Research Consortium - SHARC tabled at UF HealthStreet’s Night of Dance event to spread the word about their mission through interactive games. This event at Bo Diddley Plaza featured food trucks, art installations, dance and a wealth of #health resource. 💃🚚🎶
