A huge thank you to Newbery Award-winning author Lauren Wolk for visiting our English classes today! Our students were inspired by her insights into the writing process, the power of storytelling, and the journey behind her newest book, Candle Island.

SMHS's AP Environmental Science and Earth Science students were positively charged after their recent tour of our local, electric power plant! Thanks to the staff at the Canal Generating Plant for welcoming us and successfully bringing our classroom learning to life!

Exciting moment today at the Applied Learning Student Showcase in Boston where SMHS 10th grader Sean Naro and computer science teacher Mr. Gifford had the honor of meeting Governor Maura Healey!  This wonderful event celebrates the thrill of discovery and innovation. Go Knights!

Join us for an evening of art and history at the Sandwich Public Library. The event will feature an exhibit of student artwork inspired by the Hoxie House, showcasing the creativity and local talent of SMHS.

We’re excited to share that we’ve planned a variety of events for our eighth graders to enjoy with their classmates. From field trips to celebrations, these events are a great opportunity for them to make lasting memories together. Let's celebrate their MS experience!

Tuesday's Instrumental Concert was one to remember! The Concert Bands & Jazz Band all took the stage and wowed the crowd with incredible performances. Plus, a special shoutout to our seniors, your final concert was filled with heart, talent, and unforgettable moments.

The seniors celebrated their last full day at SMHS today! In true tradition, they were let out early, cheered on and sent off in style by their class officers. A bittersweet moment filled with laughter, memories, and the countdown to graduation.

SMHS proudly hosted the district-wide Deeper Learning Expo, bringing together students from all three school buildings! From robotic spheres to math skate parks, hands-on innovation was everywhere. It was a day of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration!

A perfect morning for a senior tradition! The Class of '25 gathered for their Senior Breakfast, rocking shirts that showed off their future plans, college, careers, etc. Good food, great friends, and lots of sunshine as they soaked in one of their last moments together at SMHS.

The countdown is on! After graduation practice today, the Class of 2025 picked up their caps and gowns in preparation for Saturday's ceremony. One step closer to graduation! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
