Here at SOC, we’re proud of our improvement to our Advanced Placement programming over the last 3 years:

Massive 3-Year Increase in AP exam participation: +407% more exams in 2025 than in 2023. The percentage of scholars scoring a 3+ grew from 2% → 17%, a 750% increase in success rate. Sustained improvement in 3+ score rates even with increased access. #THEMECCA 🕋

This has always been about economic mobility. A 3-credit art course at SMU costs ~$8,550. The same course at Dallas College? Just $297. Thanks to AP, 17% of our scholars could save between $297–$8,550 per course if they choose college. That’s impact. #CollegeReadyMecca🕋

SOC Campus Instructional Leadership Team is ready for the 2025-2026 school year. From 2017 to present, SOC has jumped 4 letter grades to now a “B” rated campus. In addition, SOC has appeared in the State Championship for the last 4 consecutive years. SOC has made the “IMPOSSIBLE”
