Great first cross country practice of the season today! Getting back into the swing of things and excited for some great performances this year.

It was a phenomenal day for the team today at the Knox Invitational! It was great to see some of the hard work we’ve been putting in show itself in the results!

The team ran the John Izzo Classic at Letchworth State Park today. Fierce competition lead to a plethora of personal bests. Varsity was lead by Anthony Scarozza in a time of 18:26 while Senior Sam Napoli logged a big PR running a 18:47 and dipping under 19 for the first time.

We had our first MMHSAA matchups of the season today. The boys came away with 2 wins defeating St. Marys in a score of 21-40 and The GOW school in a score of 15-50. Anthony Scarozza lead the charge with a new personal best of 18:04.

Ventured out to Chestnut ridge this morning for some hill work. The boys earned some donuts and cider after and a handful of exceptional performers earned themselves a pumpkin.

With a handful of team veterans out sick Sam Napoli stepped up and lead the team effort today with a time of 19:39 as we fell to Nichols 41-17 and pulled out a 25-32 win over Bishop Timon. Great effort by all the boys today.

We had some team bonding tonight as part of this year’s travel trip. Based on the results I don’t think any of us are going to be taking varsity spots from SJCI Bowling

We’ve arrived at the Burnt Hills Invitational and it’s looking like a beautiful day for cross country. Start time for our boys is 2:40 pm.#FireItUp

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Andrew Miller '85, our beloved athletics photographer and a cherished member of our St. Joe’s family.

Tonight we took an opportunity to honor the seniors on our team. These 6 young men combine for 13 seasons of cross country and are leaders of the team on and off the course. We thank them for their hard work and commitment and can’t wait to see what’s next in store for them.

It was an excellent day on the course today where the team defeated Canisius in a score of 19-36. Anthony Scarozza lead the charge in a 17:51 breaking 18 for the first time. Sam Napoli took 2nd while Jackson Famiglietti dipped beneath 19 for the first time to secure 3rd. #SJCI

The big show comes to Como Lake Park this Wednesday. J.V. will set the tone at Noon seeking a repeat championship. The varsity race goes off at 1:30 p.m. as the boys will be racing for both a team championship and individual success in the form of bids to the Federation meet

Lots of fantastic performances today at our the All-Catholic championship. The team was led by Anthony Scarozza with a time of 17:51. His 4th place finish qualifies him for the federation meet at Boudain Park on November 22nd.
