My baby is due the same day Victoria is projected to hit 70% double vax and restrictions ease. Am I nervous to bring home a newborn while cases are rising? - a little. Do I feel immense comfort being vaccinated and my baby having some protection? - YES! ajogmfm.org/article/S2589-…

Incredibly proud of this study spearheaded by the formidable Nhi Thao Tran as a part of her PhD. The evidence supporting #creatine supplementation during pregnancy to prevent hypoxia induced perinatal brain injury continues to build. Watch this space and brava Nhi!

Great to hear perspectives on our work from much respected peers. I’m really proud of this study by our #creatine dream team. Congrats again to ⁦Nhi Thao Tran⁩. Back to the beginning: can we stop brain injury before it starts? physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1113/JP…

What a treat to have our recent review on #creatine and female reproduction make the list of #mdpinutrients editor’s choice. Is creatine a conditionally essential nutrient for successful reproduction? Read about what we know and (more importantly) the work still ahead.

Journal club article by Sarah Hammond Jack Darby discussing our most recent preclinical data on the use of creatine supplementation to protect the fetal brain from hypoxic injury. Thanks for highlighting that prevention might be key to protection! physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1113/JP…

Incredibly humbled to receive an #NHMRC EL2 to translate our studies on dietary creatine supplementation during pregnancy & employ exciting new technologies to explore bioenergetics in reproduction. It takes a village! Sincere thanks to all who are supporting me.

Such a great outcome! Huge thanks to all the staff and students The Ritchie Centre for sharing their expertise and (more importantly) enthusiasm for perinatal research with our students.

A lot of people power behind this one! A huge thanks to the research team and near 300 participants, families and health professionals for their commitment. Some interesting sub analyses on diet and labour outcomes are on their way.

Smiles x2 at PSANZ! Very grateful to have been awarded the J.Gupta and David Henderson-Smart scholarships to kickstart my independent research in 1) creatine metabolism in neurodevelopment and 2) neuropathological mechanisms of neonatal respiratory distress.

Elegant data from Nhi Thao Tran bringing the wisdom of our incredible mentor in all things fetal brain development and creatine, Prof David Walker, to light. We hope you are as excited about this potential breakthrough as we are. Congratulations to the whole team.
