Fare and service public hearings are coming next week. They don’t make it very easy for the only line ( CTrail Shore Line East ) that is getting devastated to appear in person (maybe add New London to the list) but there are Zoom options. Be heard, advocacy isn’t a waste of time.

We are grateful to DOT for sitting down to listen to our complaints and suggestions, both written and verbal, but the work is far from over. We look forward to seeing more results that will benefit all SLE riders.

The CT rail strategy is confusing and haphazard. Invest money in some areas like locomotives or spend tens of millions of dollars on M8’s for the Shore Line East, then cut service on the lines that use them and in the case of the SLE, destroy the line. trains.com/trn/news-revie…
