Amid the escalating dengue outbreak in Ratnapura, pressure on Ratnapura General Hospital continues to grow. To meet the rising demand for patient care, trained volunteers from the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society โ Ratnapura Branch have been deployed daily to assist hospital staff. ๐ฅ



Sri Lanka Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the @GGGI, successfully conducted a Climate Finance and Proposal Development Workshop under the Green Climate Fund National Adaptation Plan Readiness Support Project.




๐ In the lead-up to #WorldEnvironmentDay, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society โ Kandy Branch, in collaboration with the Central Provincial Council, carried out a cleanup campaign along the Polgolla Dam and Mahaweli River Bankโtwo lifelines for communities and ecosystems in the Central Province.







UNICEF, in partnership with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, has launched the project โPromoting Disability-Inclusive Humanitarian Action Preparedness in Sri Lanka.โ In Monaragala, FGDs with children and KIIs with children with disabilities captured their experiences from past emergencies.


Sri Lanka Red Cross Society & UNICEF, brought together frontline responders from Central, Uva & Sabaragamuwa provinces to map gaps in disability-inclusive emergency response. A key step in the programme "Promoting Disability-Inclusive Humanitarian Action Preparedness in Sri Lanka".
