4 days until #DysarthriaAwarenessDay. It is incredibly important to value how people living with #dysarthria perceive it. Acquired dysarthria can often result in negative feelings and comparison to how the individual sounded before their speech changed. Giving Voice

📢 @KateAllatt provides an everyday example of living with #Dysarthria. 🚨 To help raise #DysarthriaAwareness RCSLT 💙's wonderful #SLT2B at Human Communication Sciences | Sheffield are launching the world's first ever #DysarthriaAwarenessDay this Friday, 10 May. 😊 Do help spread the word & get involved.

Only 3 days until #DysarthriaAwarenessDay. For many of us, speech is an easy, unconscious process. But how would you feel if you woke up one day and talking was suddenly much harder? This is the reality for people living with #dysarthria. Giving Voice

2 days until #DysarthriaAwarenessDay. #Dysarthria does not define a person. It affects how they communicate, and sadly how they are perceived by others, despite having no bearing on their intelligence or personality. Giving Voice Living with Dysarthria @KateAllatt
