Scholarly Migration and Scientific Mobility: MPIDR recently hosted a symposium to bring together researchers from different disciplines and countries. It was organized by Ebru Sanliturk, Aliakbar Akbaritabar, @akbaritabar.bsky.social, Tom Theile and Emilio Zagheni demogr.mpg.de/en/news_events…

Some subnational regions were disproportionately more attractive to receive scholars from both internal and international origins. Some were consistently sending scholars to both internal and international destinations: brain drain. Data on Scholarly Migration Database doi.org/10.5281/zenodo…
