From a big board/leadership presence in the paddock to a launch event (and why it is so important to Cadillac), here’s everything you need to know about F1’s 11th making its biggest appearance yet ahead of next year’s entry: the-race.com/formula-1/cadi…

There were plenty in Doohan’s corner at Alpine. But it was an unsustainable situation with a mix of Briatore wanting a change, developments in Colapinto’s favour, and Doohan’s own performances. Some tense/difficult moments. Became unworkable in the end: the-race.com/formula-1/what…

Ollie Oakes has resigned as team principal of the Alpine #F1 team, amid a likely switch of drivers from the next grand prix at Imola. Full story: the-race.com/formula-1/oake…

Oakes kept having to justify the decisions Briatore made. Looks like it's one too many. What we know as Alpine gets plunged into fresh chaos by shock team principal resignation ahead of a change of F1 drivers: the-race.com/formula-1/oliv…

Doohan’s loss is Colapinto’s gain. A huge chance to use new-found incumbency to secure his own F1 future. Williams was only ever going to be a short period in the shop window to advertise himself. Now he gets a trial (5 race run seems odd) to bank an Alpine seat full-time.

Been thinking about this: Oli Oakes leaving the paddock quite sharply on Sunday evening with Netflix cameras in tow (they were all over Alpine in Miami). Early flight the reason given. Think Briatore told Doohan he was out by this point. Had Oakes already resigned/decided to?

A development I did not see coming, and one that indicates Oakes' exit and the Alpine driver change really were an extraordinary coincidence after all. Makes some of the criticism of Alpine top brass unfair as at least part of the upheaval was unconnected, so sorry for that.

Aston Martin's bringing an #F1 upgrade package to Imola that's been in the works since December. But it's not just about improving its 2025 performance; the bigger test is whether it really has a more robust development process ➡️ the-race.com/formula-1/asto… the-race.com/formula-1/asto…

Maybe there’s a big twist coming but this Monaco intrigue and two-stop novelty has fizzled into nothing, encouraging crap and questionable tactics. At least it made keeping an eye on Wembley possible. Charlton Athletic FC you beauties!

Since beating at least one Ferrari in back-to-back #F1 races last month, Williams has scored just four points in three grands prix. Is it already starting to suffer for its development strategy? It's an easy assumption to make...➡️ the-race.com/formula-1/why-… the-race.com/formula-1/why-…

McLaren doesn't have any further changes planned to directly address Lando Norris's issues with its 2025 #F1 car. That makes the Austrian GP a huge test for him - and of his title credentials ➡️ the-race.com/formula-1/aust… the-race.com/formula-1/aust…

Lando Norris's Austrian GP pole wasn't unlike the sort you'd expect from Max Verstappen. It's only qualifying, but this was a big performance - arguably one of his best in #F1 - that revealed three things about Norris himself ➡️ the-race.com/formula-1/thre… the-race.com/formula-1/thre…

Nico Hulkenberg earns one of the great F1 podiums. Momentous for him, given the long and winding road to this moment. Especially as his career could have ended years ago. Massive for Sauber too. Audi’s team went most of last season without even scoring a point.
