This year’s #SONWA is pretty special. April 4 is not only the one hundred twenty-third birthday of Sigurd Olson, but it also marks the beginning of the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute at Northland College.

On March 25, 1972, the Northland College Board of Trustees unanimously approved the establishment of the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute. Today—exactly fifty years from that date—the Institute is still going strong. northland.edu/news/sigurd-ol…
