112 survivors rescued on Sunday disembarked from the #OceanViking in Livorno after 3 days of navigation. Onboard, many of them shared their stories – from persecution in their home country to violence along the journey & arbitrary detention in Libya. We wish them safety & peace

2 years ago on this day, 94 people lost their life in a horrible shipwreck off Cutro, Italy. Authorities had monitored the boat, but no rescue operation was launched. This shipwreck, like many others, could have been prevented. Our thoughts are with the victims & the bereaved.
