Congratulations to journalists from the The Inlander and The Spokesman-Review for being recognized for your hard work. Your readers are lucky to have you and this thread of impressive work is proof of that. #journalism #SPJ #WAnews

The staff of the The Spokesman-Review put in long hours day after day to bring you the news of the Inland Northwest and it's great to know our staff is being recognized for their work. Thank you to our subscribers for their support of local journalism checkout.spokesman.com/?g2i_source=sp…

Police: Please let journalists covering the #GeorgeFloyd #protests do their job. Journalists and police can respectfully work side-by-side. Please read this open letter. bit.ly/3ci8QlO Charlottesville Police Department Knoxville Police TN NYPDBrooklynNorth Portland Police Phoenix Police

In the last six hours, my co-workers and I dodged rubber bullets, literally ducked behind brick walls, ran from deployed tear gas cans, and dealt with harassment from protesters. I never thought journalism would take me here, but it did. Please stay safe. 4 News Now

Don't miss our monthly SPJ Inland Northwest meeting tomorrow night via Zoom. Lisa Waananen Jones is joining us to talk about data. She's a former intern on the award-winning graphics desk w/ the NYT. She now teaches data visualization & narrative storytelling courses, among others, at WSU.

Great work, Libby Kamrowski 👏
