🎉After a year-long break, we are excited to announce that STARTS is back! We've had a few changes to our team - sadly Eilidh and Khiah are no longer working with us -, but we are happy to be back on track. Our team is now developing our 2nd study focusing on autistic wellbeing.

🔍Our co-researcher Charlie represented STARTS in the Sheffield Autism Research Conference last week with a poster about how we work and what we've been up to. The poster included words that our members associate with STARTS, like 'co-leadership', 'equality' and 'respect' :)✨

🔎In our survey study, autistic people in Scotland rated 'mental health and wellbeing' as a top autism research priority. For this reason, our team is currently developing our next study focusing on understanding how autistic people construct wellbeing and what contributes to it!

Some of the words our co-researchers use to describe STARTS: skill-sharing, facilitation, respect, co-leadership, equality, non-hierarchical. Study two about autistic wellbeing is currently in progress - and we will keep these values at the centre of our work at all stages😁
