Lady Rebel Volleyball beat Switz Co 3-0 and move on to the sectional final tonight at 6pm at South Ripley

Sophie Ford, Tori Gammons, Mikayla Nussbaum, Savannah Nussbaum and Chloe Sprayberry all finished top 15 and were All-Sectional for their efforts! The 2025 Rebels are the 4th fastest team in the history of this Sectional!!

Up in windy Knightstown today for the 1A Boys Soccer Regional Championship between No. 17 Southwestern (14-2-4) and No. 10 Scecina (15-4-1). The winner advances to the semistate next week against either Providence or Northeast Dubois.

20 minutes in and no score but Scecina has dominated the action.

Final: No. 10 Scecina 3, No. 17 Southwestern 0 Rebels end their fantastic season at 14-3-4 and regional runner-up for the 2nd time in 3 years. Scecina is now 16-4-1 and will play either Providence or Northeast Dubois in the semistate next week.

Final stop of a very long day is the Class 2A Volleyball Sectional Championship game at South Ripley where Southwestern (20-12) will take on conference rival South Ripley (21-12).

Southwestern's girls cross country team won its 2nd-straight sectional championship and the girls volleyball won its 1st crown since 2012, both on Saturday. Southwestern now has 41 sectional team championships in school history, 22 in girls sports and 19 in boys sports.

Southwestern's girls cross country team won its second-straight sectional championship on Saturday. Madison and Switzerland County advanced as a team.

Southwestern's boys soccer team fell 3-0 to Scecina in the regional championship game on Saturday. The Rebels end the season with a 14-3-4 record.

Southwestern Volleyball will play Eastern Pekin next Saturday at 4pm at Charlestown.

Southwestern won its first volleyball sectional championship since 2012 with a come-from-behind win over South Ripley on Saturday. Rorie Scroggins (12) and Jenna Owens (2) were named co-MVPs.
