Having Jodrell Bank in Congleton is an honour. Not only is it an excellent attraction for visitors, itโ€™s contributing to national space security. The UK is playing an internationally leading role in space tech, and Iโ€™m proud that a part of that lives in the constituency.

Nine years ago today Jo Cox was murdered. Her death was, and still is, an immeasurable tragedy. Her words are as true today as they were then, and we should remember her on this day for all that she stood for. My thoughts are with all those that knew and loved her.

I voted last night to decriminalise abortion. This will not change the time limit, grounds, or laws that govern those in a health setting. It will treat abortion as healthcare, not a criminal offence for which women can be subjected to long, traumatic police investigations.

I voted today in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, as did the House of Commons as a whole. I know that there are strong feelings on each side, and I thank every person that has been in touch from across the constituency with their thoughts.

I want to gain a better understanding of the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities provisions available for people in our community. If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person with experience of SEND provisions, I want to hear from you. us18.list-manage.com/survey?u=931beโ€ฆ

We were so pleased to attend @GeesFoundation charity football match today in Congleton, Cheshire, and to collect a cheque for ยฃ5k! Today was another fantastic example of a community rallying together in memory โค๏ธ

Going through the heartbreak of pregnancy loss is enough of a weight on parents without having to think about returning to work. Labour are implementing a day-one right to bereavement leave, giving those experiencing pregnancy loss time to grieve. theguardian.com/society/2025/jโ€ฆ

Really pleased to announce that the Middlewich Eastern Bypass has been approved! This has been a major project this year alongside my colleague Andrew Cooper MP and is crucial for connection between our towns. A huge thank you to all those who campaigned, and to Cheshire East Council.
