Excited to see Cornelia Welte Heleen Ouboter's beautiful data suggesting the involvement of #cytochrome OmcZ-like #nanowires in archaea generating electricity from methane! nature.com/articles/s4146… Thanks a lot for believing in our prediction in Nature Microbiology! nature.com/articles/s4156…

Finally out! Our story on new proteins involved in archaeal FtsZ-based cell division! rdcu.be/dAgFB Spearheaded by Phillip Nussbaum and a great collaboration with the labs of Jan Löwe @MRC_LMB, Simonetta Gribaldo Simonetta Gribaldo and Martin Loose @nartimsoole

Excited to share our latest collaborative work on the ammonium-trapping S-layer in ammonia-oxidising marine archaea. Proud to be part of this amazing team! Andriko von Kügelgen, @TBharat_lab, @sofie_dot_rec, Phill Stansfeld, C. Keith Cassidy, and others; @MPI_Bio

Excited to share our new preprint on S-layers! We've modeled ~150 S-layers spanning the prokaryotic tree of life. Great collaboration with Ed Johnston, Jonathan Doye at Oxford Chemistry, Buse Isbilir, @TBharat_lab at @MRC_LMB, and myself at @MPI_Bio.

Our paper on the structure of twitching pili from the archaeon S. acidocaldarius is finally out in Nat Comms! nature.com/articles/s4146…. Thanks the authors Matt Gaines, Shamphavi Sivabalasarma, Misha Isupov, Risat Haque, @cyril_hanus, mathewmclaren, Vicki Gold, @archaellum.

Check our our paper on how glycans contribute to cell motility in Halobacterium salinarum. nature.com/articles/s4146… Great work by Shahar Sofer, Zlata Vershinin, and Leen Mashni! Collaboration with Jerry Eichler, Ran_Zalk_BGU_Cryo_EM Anat Shahar MCRC-Macromolecular Crystallography Centre at BGU
