I love seeing these points so clear & simple. Yet I’ve never mastered them, despite 100’s of presentations over 40yrs. Guilty of all charges! It is HARD to follow these tips! I’m working on 2 big talks now…“This time” I’ll do it! Prayus Tailor MD, FASN Monnie Wasse, MD, MPH Aisha Shaikh Robert Shahverdyan, MD

Dialysis for all…. The modern “rite of passage” or seemingly “‘right’ of passage.” See, it didn’t work, so now can we stop?

Is there a universally-accepted shorthand for "Tunneled, cuffed, venous HD catheter?" KDOQI & recent reporting guidelines unclear. Some terms, e.g., CVC, Permcath IMO not OK. We use "Tunneled Dialysis Catheter," or "TDC." ASDIN Monnie Wasse, MD, MPH Edgar V. Lerma 🇵🇭 VascularAccessSociety #TDC

It drives me absolutely bat s—t crazy that pharmacy continues to insist on using Cockcroft-Gault for all pharmacokinetic analysis. eGFR is 54 ml/min. CG eat. is too high and almost certain to result in excessive dosing. Edgar V. Lerma 🇵🇭 Renal Fellow Network Prayus Tailor MD, FASN

Useful adages: (1) “If it doesn’t feel right, it ain’t right!” Wire went down nicely, but then met resistance, patient says, “ouch.” (2) “Listen to the patient!” Not a great idea to jam a 14 Fr catheter into the pericardiophrenic vein. Monnie Wasse, MD, MPH Renal Fellow Network ChristianaCare VIR
