I challenge my AP Seminar S’s to exercise their voices and argue for changes to Campus/ District policies. After 3 rounds of spirited 1-on-1 debates, I ask if they’re confident with their positions. When they say “Yes” (almost on cue) my Boss comes in unannounced to debate them!

My AP Seminar kids are getting after it! Debating the criticality of who gets to stay and who must leave in a post-apocalyptic bomb shelter scenario—and they are arguing with confidence!!
