Today, we uplift the inspiring life of Sania Khan, a 29-year-old, Pakistani American woman, whom we lost to gun and gender-based violence in July 2022. Friends describe Sania as “liquid sunshine” — a talented photographer, deeply supportive friend, and a fierce advocate.

Today, we ground our remembrance in the life of Mandeep Kaur, a 30-year-old Sikh Punjabi woman, whom we lost to gender-based violence in August 2022. Mandeep was a beloved mother of two, and her passing reminds us of our shared responsibility to cultivate safety.

Our grantee partner Sakhi for South Asian Survivors just released their 2022 impact report! We're proud to support their work to create transformational, lasting change in the South Asian diaspora through serving survivors of gender-based violence.
