Health research never occurs in a vacuum and is embedded in the social context in which people live. Being sensitive to social issues strengthens the ultimate goal of all research: improving the well-being of individuals and communities.

The Drishti team is excited to announce that enrolments for our new course on Social Issues in Health Research are now open!

Why is there such a widespread fear of ageing? I have seen people in their early 20s in so much fear that they will be 30 or 35 years old one day.

Our new course on Social Issues in Health Research delves into the considerations while working with diverse marginalised populations, and aims to make researchers informed and empathetic in their approaches – ensuring more effective outcomes and social value in health research.

We are happy to announce an online dissemination event to discuss the findings and implications of our Qinship project, on 26th April 2024, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm IST!

We are glad to announce our new project, Decoding AuthorshiPraxis, which focuses on the ethics of authorship and credit. The project will study the perspectives of researchers, journal editors, and institution heads on authorship practices in the Indian health research setting.

We recently held an online dissemination of our Qinship project. The project was a year-long qualitative research study to understand different forms of kinship; its perceived meaning and significance in the lives of older queer people in India. (1/15)

2 of our manuscripts were rejected yesterday after being under review (as per the journal) for 3 months. For one the reason was that they did not find any reviewers and for the other they invited #18 reviewers and we got reviews from only 2. This system needs a revamp Badly.
