Shocking but unsurprising, #NHSE are rubber stamping the use of Social Workers as Clinical Experts in Care and Treatment Reviews for learning disabled and autistic people. Surely in order to be a clinical expert you need a clinical qualification.

Now it has been formally abandoned. Yet the crisis in social care continues with an awful impact on so many people. So I would urge the new Government to give social care priority and to genuinely work on a cross party basis to achieve a new settlement for care.

TW The week the DWP have put folk on both ESA and PIP on high alert to migrate to Universal Credit or else, the inquest has been concluded into Laura Winham's death. Laura didn't apply for PIP from DLA cos of the invasive checks. She had schizophrenia and died in severe neglect.

Shocked Newcastle United why ask for a PIP award letter and doctors letter to prove need for a carer to support a disabled person to a concert. Waste of doctors time and likely to cost the disabled person for doctor to write one. Not disability friendly, totally unnecessary and intrusive
