Dancing molecules! Dynamics of molecules in supramolecular assemblies enable remarkable function for cell signaling. This take-home message was one of Sam Stupp’s most fundamental & medically applicable ones towards the end of a seminar which was a tour de force. Northwestern

Pleased to share this paper published in MRS Bulletin that summarizes my 2022 Von Hippel Award lecture from the Materials Research Society. The paper is coauthored by @LiamPalmerNU, a Research Professor in the Stupp Laboratory: rdcu.be/dzVkT

In a recent J. Am. Chem. Soc. paper, my lab demonstrated for the second time that supramolecular motion is a key factor in biological signaling. The phenomenon has now been observed in cartilage cells and was initially discovered in the spinal cord. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

New in J. Am. Chem. Soc.: We discovered new supramolecular polymers with predictable cohesion and dynamics properties using low-cost simulations and experiments. Rational design of these features is key for creating highly functional supramolecular materials. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…
