Some things I’ve learned- In 1988, 25% of public school principals were women. That # has grown to 54%! Also, 68% of elementary schools are led by women vs. 33% of high schools. I wonder what the reason could be for such a large discrepancy? #GSUEdlead

I wanted to capture everyone’s attention for the first IB PL of the year…it worked! They all got the GLOW UP treatment, looked at key components of their units, and left with “take aways” to use in class!

Today, we had our latest installment of Perch Parliament! The nests competed in a friendly game, learned about being open-minded, and learned our new Perch song! All before 9:00 am! Great start to the day! Teamwork helped make this possible!

Today was day one of “International Holiday Week” at my school. Students became more knowledgeable as they learned about the Diwali holiday and what it represented. Tomorrow, students will learn about Hanukkah!

Day 2 of International Holiday Week is a wrap! Today, students learned about Hanukkah and even learned how to play dreidel!

It sure is cold, but it's never too cold to learn! 😀 Parents, your students can stay engaged by working on IXL, RAZ Kids, and MyBackpack to access educational games!
