Firing workers and cutting benefits isn’t pro-worker. It was so helpful to hear directly from local unions today including AFGE, IBEW, NATCA Southern California, Teamsters Local Union No. 542, UFCW 135, and many others about how Trump’s policies are hurting them.

It will take all of us to slow down, blunt, and stop what Donald Trump and Elon Musk want to do. So it was great to share with SD County Young Dems what I’m doing in Congress and what more we all can be doing in this moment to fight back.

We all have agency in fighting back against Trump and building the kind of country we want. That’s why I was so excited to talk to the CBFD Indivisible group today that’s fired up and ready to get to work.

Like I said to the East County Democratic Club, we all need to stay engaged and stay in this fight for the future of our country. From legislation to oversight to lawsuits to leveraging public pressure, I’m doing everything I can to stand up to the Trump Administration.

I’m heading to the House Floor right now to vote against House Republicans’ budget that takes away YOUR health care and food assistance to fund THEIR tax cuts for corporations and the 1%. This isn’t about waste, fraud, and abuse. This is about funding their corruption.

This is what democracy looks like. I’m so thankful for the millions of people from San Diego to DC who made their voices heard today. We won’t stop marching and fighting to build the country we want.
