I genuinely don’t understand statements like this. Western governments speak as if they’re helpless observers. You are the donors. You are the arms suppliers. You do have influence. Stop the weapons. Sanction the war criminals. End the complicity.

As I’ve just discussed on BBC News (UK), the first five trucks of vital baby food are inside Gaza. We need to get them distributed urgently, and we need much, much more to cross.

A standing ovation for Philippe Lazzarini at #EHF2025. “300 UNRWA staff have been killed in Gaza. People are arrested, tortured. But despite everything, our staff in Gaza continue to deliver services on a daily basis.” A powerful reminder of courage and commitment.

For 31 years, the Western world waged wars that killed over 100 million. That’s why international law exists - because no one is safe when there’s no accountability. Fail Gaza, and it can happen anywhere. Don’t be selective in your empathy. Let aid in. Ceasefire now.

So thrilled to be back in Ireland. 🇮🇪 The last time I was here, my story about a Tipperary water bottle went viral. Since then, Merrill - my Irish father figure - has passed away. I’ll be laying flowers here in his memory. Ireland feels like home, in a way.

On a call with our teammate in Afghanistan, I went to mute the café noise around me. She stopped me: “I miss the sound of girls laughing in cafes. Please don’t mute it.” Smiling. My heart sank. I left it on and just kept talking aimlessly. Anything to transport her for a bit.

Every time I prepare slides on Afghanistan, it’s become unbearable to search “Afghan girls education.” Most of these girls haven’t seen a classroom in nearly 3 years. Told to pursue any dream - then abandoned. But we won’t give up. We’re working quietly, in the shadows.

Yaron Lischinsky was a kind and generous friend, a devout Christian, and a defender of Israel. We would sit and debate early Christian theology for hours over a gin and tonic, and he would check in on me after every attack on Christians in Egypt. May our enemies resign to the ash

From my observations, key AI policymakers in many African countries don’t even know some of the most promising AI startups in their jurisdictions, which is insanely damning.

My heartfelt condolences to Sarah Milgrim, Yaron Lischinsky, and their families. Antisemitism is an abhorrent threat to our shared humanity. It must be condemned - fully and without hesitation.

Yes. She’s part of our team at Civaam. As we grow our work in health, education, and civic tech in conflict regions, I’ve made a conscious choice to hire Afghan women first. It’s our form of resistance to the Taliban’s erasure of women from public life.
