The genome sequence of the Australian filarial nematode, Cercopithifilaria.... McCann K et al., published by WellcomeOpenResearch, wellcomeopenresearch.org/articles/6-259… A nice outcome from a side project, a long long time ago in the Grant-Hedtke Lab at @PAM_latrobe . Very happy for Dr Kirsty McCann 🙌

First day back at Wellcome Sanger Institute started with coffee and great chat with my new boss and biggest supporter Stephen Doyle. He caught me mid-cuddle with this beauty in true “Sarah” fashion.

So she was first author on his key paper - in fact she's on most of his key papers, yet she didn't get the Nobel Prize, in spite of the fact they could have given 3 awards, not just 2. Explain to me how STEM is not institutionally sexist.
