Big change next year! While I’ve enjoyed being assistant headteacher, I’ve decided to go back to being solely a class teacher and drop to 3 days a week. It means that I’ll be around more as my son starts Reception, and I’ll have more time to work on developing Primary Maths Hub

A few days delayed, but it's April, a new month, which means it’s time for me to give away a class set of novels via my book shop A New Chapter - Children's Bookstore. For a chance to win, simply retweet this lil tweet.

3 spelling rules that should appear in SATs (have appeared every year so far >1x in each paper): - silent letters - suffix -ly - endings that sound like ‘shun’ And Sarah Farrell has just shared her amazing spelling pack which would help revise these! (Link in 2nd tweet)

My dad gave me this beautiful notebook when he came to stay recently. Here’s the start of the project I’ve decided to do with it! I love drawing and painting anything botanical.

Whoah! This is amazing! So glad you like the book Sarah Farrell did an amazing job with it! It literally takes all the work out of daily resourcing of times tables prep! Especially for the multiplication check.
