So excited to present Blake Madruga 's amazing biorxiv paper on the first of our new generation of open-source 2-photon miniaturized microscopes. The scope has excellent resolution and great sensitivity such that we can image dendrites in RSC and image DG through an intact CA1.

My lab in collaboration with Drs Mirzavand @ualberta & Ryait ULethbridge has few open positions in R&D initiatives concerning wireless systems that offer monitoring of behaviour and brain activity in humans and animals. Please retweet! rb.gy/2c3l87

Congratulations Frederic Schaper and Michael Fox on this really cool work!

Fascinating work from Gilad Evrony and lab that brings us one step closer to understanding the mechanisms of double-strand DNA changes by surveying single strand DNA damage in health and disease.

Thrilled to share this preprint on our study of somatic mutations in prion disease! Congrats to Gannon McDonough and Alana Cheng, a wonderful collaboration with August Yue Huang, Jiri Safar, ChrisAWalsh and others! Labor of love >7y in the making, finally out! #prion #genetics

Exciting new work by Janet Song , Taehwan Shin and Ryan Doan in ChrisAWalsh lab on functional contribution of non-coding variation to ASD. Many years in the making but well worth the wait!

Looking forward to catching up with friends Society for Neuroscience (SfN)! I am also looking for a postdoc trained in neurophys/systems neuro who is interested in modeling brain genetic mosaicism in neuronal cultures/mouse and combine with voltage imaging. Happy to meet at SFN to discuss! Plz RT.

Congratulations Diane Shao, MD, PhD !! Very well-deserved recognition.

Really important work by Alissa D’Gama and team Epilepsy Genetics Program illustrating the importance of a genome first approach in epilepsy genetic testing. IMO this has direct relevance for our adult patients with DEEs and syndromic epilepsies as well.

Very excited for #AES2024 to catch up with old friends and make new ones! My talented lab manager Ashton Tillett and I will be presenting two posters today at noon followed by presentations in Platform A. If you get excited about focal epilepsy genetics come talk to us!

Last night at the Basic Mechanisms SIG we talked about the molecular mechanisms of mosaic epilepsies. Join us tonight at the Genetics SIG to hear how genotype corresponds to clinical phenotype, paving the way for precision medicine American Epilepsy Society #AES2024

Thank you RASopathies Network for supporting our work! I am quite excited for this new research direction in my lab.
