Smiling through the rain, with another successful day of coring at Rutland Water Nature Reserve with the fantastic support of Tim from Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust and Erica and Daniel from the Loughborough Geography and Environment tech team. Now onto sample processing…! #limnology #sediment #waterqaulity #research #fieldwork

An insightful and thought-provoking day spent at the The Office for Environmental Protection College of Experts induction day - learning about how we can contribute to OEP activities and discussing how best to prioritise resources, that ultimately lead to improvement in our #environment #scienceforpolicy

Remember to tune in to BBC Countryfile tonight 28.04.24 at 6pm to watch Rutland Water Nature Reserve, our amazing team Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust and the beautiful Rutland Ospreys bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…

Highly recommend the fantastic documentary by BBC Countryfile on Rutland Water Nature Reserve and Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust, which highlights the amazing #waterquality work Tim Sexton and his volunteers are doing using invertebrates 🪲plus a quick feature of Charlie Patel and myself when we joined in!

Our first keynote! Ben Surridge on stable isotope frameworks to examine modern phosphorus and nitrogen cycles in freshwaters #SIMSUG2024

An excellent day at #SIMSUG2024, hosted by British Geological Survey. Today myself and Chris Bengt presenting some of our stable #isotope work from Rutland Water Nature Reserve, evaluating #nutrient cycling dynamics related to #algalblooms

NCUB's new report #NaturesNexus features the collaborative research of Tom Stanton, Kate Mathers and Savannah Worne whose work addresses the management, conservation and wellbeing of our waterways and coastlines (p20).

A tough, but rewarding 36 hours accessing the second oxbow lake to understand seasonal and long-term changes in lake physiochemistry. Excited to see what the water and sediment samples will tell us and to work with Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) to share these secrets more widely #TeamOxbow

This week at #PalaeoPERCS we will be joined by Savannah Worne (Savannah Worne ) from Loughborough University, UK. Sign up here: paleopercs.com/participate/ (1/4)
