Finally, our HiCAR paper is online in Molecular Cell! Thanks to all the team members for their hard work, as well as the support from 4DNucleome and colleagues at Duke Regeneration Center DukeCAGT Duke GCB Duke Department of Cell Biology to make it possible!

Super proud of my undergrad Medy Mu who presented a great poster on her work in the summer neuroscience program from Duke Undergraduate Neuroscience. Congrats to all the summer students who presented, it was one of the most interesting poster sessions I've been to.

The Astrocyte-Team (A-Team) invites you to try Synbot, an open-source image analysis software, developed by Eroglu's lab, Cagla Eroglu, to automatically quantify synapses from fluorescence microscopy images. Salk Institute Duke Health Duke University School of Medicine a-team.salk.edu/news/

nature.com/articles/s4146… Our paper is out on Nature Communications. We describe how operant training induces excitatory synapse formation onto ACC-DMS neurons through a2d-1, the neuronal receptor for the astrocyte-secreted TSPs, to modulate effort exertion during a demanding task.

How do astrocytes identify their neuronal partners during cortical development? In my doctoral work in Cagla Eroglu lab, I show that δ-catenin controls astrocyte morphogenesis via layer-specific astrocyte-neuron cadherin interactions: rupress.org/jcb/article/22… (🧵⬇️)
