In partnership with People in Need, #SCI visited a school in #Koya to evaluate the impact of #MYRP initiative, supported by Education Cannot Wait funding. During the visit, we engaged in a Parents Teachers Association meeting, gaining crucial insights to better shape our interventions.

بالشراكة مع منظمة "الناس في حاجة" (PIN) ، قامت منظمة إنقاذ الطفل بزيارة مدرسة في كوية لتقييم تأثير مبادرة MYRP، بدعم من تمويل "التعليم لا ينتظر". خلال الزيارة، شاركنا في اجتماع رابطة أولياء الأمور والمعلمين، حيث اكتسبنا رؤى قيّمة لتحسين تدخلاتنا بشكل أفضل.

SCI, in partnership W/ MoLSA in IQ & KRG, Child Welfare Commission & Supreme Council for Childhood, hosted Scientific Conference to Defend Children’s Rights under the slogan: “Towards a Safe & Prosperous Childhood in the Shadow of Globalization: Challenges, Rights and Solutions.”

This collaboration also led to the establishment of joint committees, workshops, and dialogues aimed at strengthening child protection systems across Iraq.

منظمة #إنقاذ_الطفل بالشراكة مع وزارة العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية في العراق الاتحادي وإقليم كوردستان، وبالتعاون مع هيئة رعاية الطفولة والمجلس الأعلى للطفولة، استضافت المؤتمر العلمي للدفاع عن حقوق الطفل تحت شعار: "نحو طفولة آمنة ومزدهرة في ظل العولمة: التحديات، الحقوق، والحلول."

أسفر هذا التعاون عن تشكيل لجان مشتركة، وتنظيم ورش عمل وجلسات حوارية تهدف إلى تعزيز أنظمة حماية الطفل في جميع أنحاء العراق.

first day of #ChildProtectionConference in #Baghdad included a panel titled “Child Care: The Real Investment for Nations and Peoples,” focusing on childcare as a foundation for sustainable development, along with speeches, discussions & activities showcasing children’s talents.

تضمن اليوم الأول من #مؤتمر_حماية_الطفل في #بغداد جلسة حوارية بعنوان "رعاية الطفولة: الاستثمار الحقيقي للأمم والشعوب" سلطت الضوء على أهمية رعاية الأطفال باعتبارها أساسًا للتنمية المستدامة ورفاهية المجتمعات. بالإضافة إلى سلسلة من التصريحات المؤثرة، وأنشطة ملهمة أبرزت مواهب الأطفال.

Day 2 of #Child_Protection_Conference in #Baghdad wrapped up with dynamic discussions. Highlights included a presentation on Iraq’s Early Childhood Strategy & sessions on the vital roles of family, digital technology, children’s rights & education for children with disabilities.

اختتم اليوم الثاني من #مؤتمر_حماية_الطفل في #بغداد بمناقشات حيوية. شملت الأبرز عرضاً عن استراتيجية الطفولة المبكرة في العراق وجلسات حول الأدوار الحيوية للأسرة والتكنولوجيا الرقمية وحقوق الطفل وتأثير البيئة التعليمية على الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة.

Day 2 of #ChildProtectionConference was enriched by powerful performances from children with disabilities from Al-Karama Institute, underscoring the importance of inclusion. A successful gathering that underscored the power of collaboration for a brighter future for children.

#SCI, in collaboration W/ Salah al-Din Directorate of Edu. & funded by World Impact Foundation, organized a ceremony to celebrate the opening & handover of rehabilitated schools in #Tikrit. Students showcased activities emphasizing the importance of education & children’s rights.

نظّمت منظمة #إنقاذ_الطفل_العالمية بالتعاون مع مديرية تربية صلاح الدين وبدعم من مؤسسة التأثير العالمي حفل افتتاح وتسليم المدارس التي تم إعادة تأهيلها في #تكريت. قدّم التلاميذ أنشطة خلال حفل تسليم المدارس ركزت على أهمية التعليم وحقوق الطفل.

The MYRP, funded by Education Cannot Wait, launched the Learning Outcomes Assessment in KRI. Organized by SCI-Iraq and the KRG Ministry of Education, the event featured key stakeholders, highlighting assessment findings to shape a more #inclusive, equitable, and high-quality #education.

#HXConference: From Crisis to Opportunity – Youth & Local Leaders Shaping the Future brought together youth, local orgs, gov reps & global actors for two powerful days in Baghdad. Organized by @savechildreniq & @AcademyHumAid, in partnership with the PM’s CSO advisor & DNGO.

Day 1 of #HXConference featured powerful panels on youth, local leadership & global collaboration. Key Highlight was: Launch of the Partnership Empowerment Platform offering free trainings in English, Arabic, and Kurdish for Iraq’s youth & local actors. ➡️ ngoao.gov.iq/platform/train…

Day 2 of #HXConference opened with talks on sustainable funding beyond traditional donors, stressing leadership for local orgs. Panels covered localizing crisis response with government, community-led peacebuilding, accountability, and policies as a path from theory to practice.
